Heavenly Harp will perform a concert at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria on Tuesday, August 25 at 7 p.m.
Heavenly Harp is a mother-daughter duo – Karin and Joy Gunderson. They perform harp, flute and vocal music.
Karin is a vocalist, harpist, pianist and flutist. She has been a public school music teacher, a private music instructor, church musician and performer. She now serves as a harp practitioner for Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona.
Joy, 18, sings and play harp, piano, organ and flute. She has studied harp since age 8. She was a member of the Phoeniz Youth Symphony for seven years and has been a finalist in Youth Symphony Concerto competitions and the Desert Musicfest competition. She will attend St. Olaf College this fall.
