POLICE BLOTTER

August 4

A three-vehicle crash shortly after 1 p.m. at the intersection of 22nd Avenue and Broadway sent two people to Douglas County Hospital. Stacy Pederson, 37, of Alexandria, one of the drivers in the crash, was transported by a personal vehicle to the hospital, according to the police department. No further information was available from Douglas County Hospital. Joann Hotz, 62, of Las Vegas, Nevada, another driver in the crash, was transported by North Ambulance to the hospital, according to the police report. No further information was available from the hospital. The other driver, Carrie Fisher, 51, of Dalton and her passenger, Tara Fisher, 29, were reportedly not injured.

August 6

One person was transported to Douglas County Hospital by North Ambulance following a two-vehicle crash that took place shortly after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 29 and Dakota Street. Both drivers, Delroy Johnson, 70, of Alexandria and Karen Velde, 50, of Glenwood were reportedly not injured. A passenger in Johnson’s vehicle, Karen Johnson, 65, was transported by North Ambulance to the hospital. She was treated and released.

August 7

Discovery Middle School on McKay Avenue was vandalized. Rocks were thrown through some of the windows.

A residence on Unumb Court was burglarized. A screen door was cut and door broken in. A safe, which contained cash, was stolen.

August 9

An Xbox 360 was stolen from a residence on North McKay Avenue.

SHERIFF BLOTTER

August 3

The Sportsman Café in Osakis was burglarized. Entry was gained by smashing the glass on the northwest door. Three computers were reportedly stolen.

Electrical and copper wire were stolen from a house and barn at a residence on County Road 54 NW near Evansville.

A pair of black and yellow Oakley sunglasses was stolen out of a car parked at a residence on Brigitta Drive NE.

August 5

A house was reportedly broken into on County Road 8 NW. No further information was available.

August 6

A wallet, which contained a driver’s license and Social Security card, was stolen out of a vehicle parked on 7th Avenue West in Osakis.

A one-vehicle crash near the intersection of Geneva Road NE and County Road 73 NE sent a 19-year-old Carlos man to Douglas County Hospital. Aaron Schultz, who was driving a 1998 Ford, was treated and released after he swerved to miss a deer and ended up in the ditch. The crash happened shortly before 11 p.m.

Two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked on Main Street in Evansville.

August 7

A small storage shed at the Osakis Creamery located on Highway 127 SE was broken into and several items were stolen including tools, pressure washer, impact wrench and more.
