On Thursday, August 13, the Dairy Queen at 907 North Nokomis will host the fourth annual North American Miracle Treat Day.
The day-long event benefits Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare through Children’s Miracle Network. To show his support, Governor Tim Pawlenty has officially declared August 13 Miracle Treat Day in Minnesota.
Participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill locations throughout North America will donate $1 or more per Blizzard treat sold to Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals.
All funds raised in Minnesota and western Wisconsin benefit Gillette. Last year, Gillette provided care for more than 21,000 children, including 67 from Alexandria.
