Sports tournaments will help Productive Alternatives

Help celebrate Productive Alternatives’ 50th anniversary by participating in a men’s softball tournament or a women’s sand volleyball tournament on August 15.

Help celebrate Productive Alternatives’ 50th anniversary by participating in a men’s softball tournament or a women’s sand volleyball tournament on August 15.

Productive Alternatives, Inc. is a non-profit corporation, established to provide vocational, rehabilitation, training, habilitation, employment and developmental services to persons with disabilities.

These services are designed to enable persons to develop their highest individual potential and move toward normal lives in the work place and in the community.

The softball tournament will be played Saturday, August 15 in Parkers Prairie at the city field and the high school field. Entry fee is $150. Deadline to sign up is August 7.

Payback is based on 10 teams with 1st place $400; 2nd $250 and 3rd place $150.

The sand volleyball tournament will be played Saturday, August 15 at Parkers Prairie City Park in the sand court by the pool.

Entry fee is $60 and deadline for registration is August 7. This will be pool play with the top two teams advancing for payback.

Concessions will be available. The city field also has a pool with lifeguard and playground available for children.

Raffle tickets are also being sold. Prizes will be announced at 4 p.m. on August 15.
