O'Neill, Castillo hit for North League All-Stars

Alexandria Beetle Mike O’Neill went three for four with a run scored and Keith Castillo added a double, but the Northwoods League North All-Star team was unable to garner a win, falling 4-2 Tuesday night at Port Arthur Stadium in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Alexandria Beetle Mike O’Neill went three for four with a run scored and Keith Castillo added a double, but the Northwoods League North All-Star team was unable to garner a win, falling 4-2 Tuesday night at Port Arthur Stadium in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

O’Neill led off the batting order and played left field for the North. He was the only player on the North squad with more than one hit.

In all, the North had seven hits while allowing the South 11 hits in the game.

Drew Gagnon of the Rochester Honkers was tagged with the pitching loss.

O’Neill and Castillo, playing first base, were joined on the All-Star team by catcher Tim Roberson and pitchers Matt Fyffe and Mitch Handley.

In the pre-game home run derby, Harold Riggins of Madison was the winner with eight shots over the fence.
