Class of 1939 celebrates

Eleven members of Alexandria’s Central High School Class of 1939 gathered for a 70th reunion recently.

Eleven members of Alexandria’s Central High School Class of 1939 gathered for a 70th reunion recently. According to available records, 63 of the original 144-member class are still living. Reunion attendees included (back row, left to right) Mabel Lund Peterson, Elsie Carlson Platto, Eleanor Albertson Norling, Richard “Shorty” Olson, Alden Mattocks, Arlene Lommen Groves, James Boyd, (front row) Donald Soderholm, Gladys, Coykendall Sliper, Mabel Engstran Aaser and Aldon Anderson.
