Senators clinch Region 16C baseball berth
Alexandria will play the winner of the Brandon-Evansville/Ashby game
The Alexandria Senators clinched a berth in the Region 16C tournament with a 9-6 win over Brandon-Evansville this past weekend.
The Senators sent Brandon-Evansville to the loser’s bracket, where they will play an elimination game against Ashby on Saturday. The winner of that game advances to take on Alexandria on Sunday for the League Championship and regional tourney seeding.
Alexandria will be the home team on Sunday but because Knute Nelson Memorial Park already has two games scheduled, it is not available for the Senators. Alexandria will seek to play the home game in Ashby on Sunday with a likely start time of 2 p.m.
