Theatre L’Homme Dieu (TLHD) is proud to present its fourth production of the 2009 season – “A Don’t Hug Me County Fair.”
Performances for this production are scheduled for Tuesday, July 21 through Sunday, July 26.
“A Don’t Hug Me County Fair” is the sequel to the 2006 hit, “Don’t Hug Me.”
This year, the Bunyan County Fair means one thing to Gunner and Clara Johnson – owners of a little bar called The Bunyan – and that is the Miss Walleye Queen competition.
Bernice, the gorgeous waitress at the bar, sees this as her chance to win the title of Miss Walleye Queen, to be discovered, and more importantly, to have her face carved in butter at the Minnesota State Fair.
The trouble begins when Gunner’s wife, Clara, decides she also wants to win the Miss Walleye Queen competition.
And even bigger trouble arrives when Gunner’s estranged twin sister, Trigger, shows up to try and win the beauty pageant.
“A Don’t Hug Me County Fair” offers 16 original songs amidst a million laughs, and comes to Theatre L’Homme Dieu from its run at St. Cloud’s Pioneer Place Theater.
Tuesday through Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. There is a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 26.
