New Senator Al Franken may be involved in Supreme Court justice nomination hearings this week, but his staff is on the road and will be visiting Alexandria.
The Minnesota Democrat’s staff will hold 66 “open office” sessions around Minnesota in the next three weeks.
“I came to Washington to work for the people of Minnesota,” Franken said. “I’m excited that they’ll finally have the chance to tell us what we can do for them.”
Minnesotans may visit with Franken’s staff about nearly any federal government issue.
This week’s open office hours in Alexandria will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m., today, Wednesday at City Hall, 704 Broadway.
