Garage sale to benefit Someplace Safe

Someplace Safe will be holding a garage sale on Saturday, July 11, starting at 8 a.m. It will take place in the large parking lot behind the Marion Building at 700 Cedar Street, Alexandria.

Someplace Safe will also be hosting “Someplace Safe Day at the Mall” at the Viking Plaza in Alexandria on July 25, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature children’s games, clowns, a silent auction/raffles, a bake sale, plant sale and also domestic violence awareness.

If you have a business that you would like to promote, silent auction/raffle items are still needed.

If you love to bake, why not share your talents at the bake sale? Volunteers are needed for these events and other ongoing projects.

The Pizza Ranch will be hosting a fundraiser for Someplace Safe on July 26 from 5-8 p.m. All in-house tips and a percentage of sales will go to Someplace Safe.

Someplace Safe serves victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and general crimes. All services are free and confidential. If you are interested in volunteering or would like to join Friends of Someplace Safe, the fundraising group, contact Susie at Someplace Safe at (320) 762-1995.
