Military retirees invited to Armed Forces event

All military retirees in the Upper Midwest are welcome to attend the 8th annual Armed Forces Retiree Activity Day (AFRAD) on August 29 at Camp Ripley near Little Falls.

This is an opportunity for retirees to receive updated information about entitlement programs and meet fellow military retirees.

Retirees will also get the chance to update their ID cards. The post exchange Class VI store and military museum will be open. On-post housing may be available by calling (320) 632-7378.

The AFRAD will take place at the Camp Ripley Training and Community Center. There will be a session at 8 a.m. and noon. Cost is $7.50 per person for registration and $7.50 per person for lunch. Deadline for registration is August 17.
