Dorothy Heil, 92, died Sunday, June 28, 2009.
Dorothy was born September 7, 1916 in Bijou Hills, South Dakota to Albert and Trina (Timmer) Vander Voort.
She was united in marriage to Philip Heil. The couple farmed and raised their family in the Hector area for many years. They later moved to Alexandria to be near their son and many fishing lakes. After Philip’s death, Dorothy moved to Osakis where her son lived and she could continue fishing, which she loved. She made many new friends at the apartment over the next five years. In 2007, she moved to the Twin Cities to be close to her daughter and several grandchildren. During this time there were many cherished times and memories made.
She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
