Muzik, Hausmann earn skate letters

Brittney Muzik and Elizabeth Hausmann of the Alexandria Figure Skating Club (AFSC) recently earned varsity letters for their participation.

To earn a skating letter, each athlete must be a member in good standing of United States Figure Skating (USFS) and the AFSC at the Juvenile Freeskate level or above; must have a time commitment of formal training/competing/performing for a minimum of 150 hours per season; must compete in one USFS sanctioned competition at Juvenile level or above; must test in either moves in field or freeskate once during the season; must participate in a minimum of two skating shows/public performances during the skating season; and must abide by all District 206, Minnesota State High School League, USFS and AFSC guidelines for academic and behavioral compliance.

Muzik and Hausmann are Juvenile Freeskate level skaters and both are involved in teaching skating to younger students in the AFSC skating program.
