Notice is hereby given that SEALED BIDS will be received by the Board of County Commissioners at the Douglas County Auditor/Treasurer Office at the Douglas County Courthouse, 305 8th Ave. West, Alexandria, Minnesota, 56308, until 1:00 pm, July 8, 2009 for work on four different roadways consisting of grading, aggregate base, bituminous surfacing and concrete median on SAP 21-603-31 (CSAH 3), etc.

Remove Culverts – 47 Linear Feet

Remove Concrete Walk – 109 Square Yards

Remove Bituminous Surfacing – 67 Square Yards

Mill Bituminous Surfacing – 194 Square Yards

Common Excavation (EV) – 781 Cubic Yards

Common Borrow (CV) – 1,360 Cubic Yards

Topsoil Borrow (LV) – 60 Cubic Yards

Aggregate Base, Class 5 – 3,610 Ton

Aggregate Shouldering, Class 5 – 1,169 Ton

Plant-Mixed Bituminous – 8,189 Ton

CS Pipe Culvert – 46 Linear Feet

RC Pipe Culvert – 14 Linear Feet

RC Pipe Sewer, Class III – 40 Linear Feet

Plans, Proposals and Specifications may be examined and obtained at Douglas County Public Works located at 526 Willow Drive, P.O. Box 398, in Alexandria, Minnesota, 56308. Requests for Plans, Proposals and Specifications must be accompanied by a Check, Draft or Money Order made payable to Douglas County. The price is $50.00 per set which includes Sales Tax.

Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder’s Bond or a Certified Check in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid made payable to the Treasurer of Douglas County. Bids must be sealed and shall be clearly marked “SAP 21-603-31”.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities thereof.
