NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING PROPOSED WILDLIFE LAKE DESIGNATION OF LAKE ANKA IN DOUGLAS COUNTY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing will be held by the Department of Natural Resources on Tuesday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lund Township Hall in Melby, MN regarding the management and Wildlife Lake Designation of Lake Anka in Douglas County (T 130N, R 40W, Sections 8, 9, & 17, DOW inventory #21035300). Wildlife Lake Designation is done pursuant to M.S. 97A.101.
All interested persons are invited to attend to present formal testimony or ask questions. Proposed management includes temporary water level drawdown. A presentation of the proposed management plan will be given at the hearing or a copy of the plan is available from Tom Carlson, Waterfowl Habitat Specialist at the Fergus Falls Area DNR office at 1509 1st Ave. N. Fergus Falls, MN 56537 or phone 218-739-7576. Copies of the plan will also be available at the hearing. Written testimony is welcome and will be accepted at the above address until July 31st, 2009 at 4:30 pm.
