Third grade students at Lincoln Elementary School in Alexandria had an opportunity to share what they learned about key people in history. Students were assigned a person – anyone from Louis Armstrong, Amelia Earhart or Clara Barton to Mark Twain, Alexander Graham Bell or Sacajawea – who they researched and then dressed the part. Last Thursday and Friday, the students stood as if they were a wax figure in a wax museum until other students pressed a “button” on their hand, which would “activate” them and they would start speaking.
