Millerville man dies from rollover injuries
An 86-year-old Millerville man died Monday, May 18 – five days after he was seriously injured in a rollover accident.
An 86-year-old Millerville man died Monday, May 18 – five days after he was seriously injured in a rollover accident.
William Anton Rotz, 86, was driving a car on County Road 7 south of the intersection with County Road 5 at about 3:20 p.m. on May 13 when he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled in the ditch.
The Millerville Fire Department was called to extricate Rotz, the only one in the car.
He was transported by North Ambulance to the Douglas County Hospital and later transferred to Hennepin County Medical Center. He died at HCMC on Monday.
Funeral services for Rotz, a lifelong farmer, will take place Tuesday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors in Millerville.
Visitation will be Monday, May 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are with the Lind Family Funeral Service.
