BPW style show raises scholarship money

The Alexandria Area Business and Professional Women (AABPW) held the 13th annual Style Show and Scholarship fundraiser on April 23 at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria.

This year, the “Cool Blue Spring Review” net proceeds totaled more than $8,000 for future graduates from Alexandria, Osakis, Brandon and Evansville schools.

Scholarships are also awarded to a member and a member dependent who are continuing their education.

The scholarships are funded by AABPW and facilitated by area Dollars for Scholars. The money is generated from ticket sales, a silent auction and sponsorships.

Through the generosity of local retail businesses, volunteer models displayed the season’s latest fashion trends to the nearly 200 guests in attendance.
