Heather is the daughter of Liz Plaster, Randy and Jackie Elmer of Evansville. She is employed at Studio 78 Platinum Design in Alexandria.

Marc is the son of Thomas and Ramona Slack of Evansville. He is employed at Rainbow, Inc. in Minneapolis.

An August 29, 2009 outdoor wedding celebration is planned in Evansville.
