The Cardinal boys’ track and field team finished seventh at the True Team Section 8AA Meet last Thursday with a team total of 521 points.

Buffalo edged Moorhead for first at the meet with 915 points, while the Spuds finished with 912.5.

Jim Ahlquist and Bobby Guetter each had first-place finishes for the Cardinals. Ahlquist has a toss of 140’10” in the discus to win the event, while Guetter took first in the shot put with a throw of 51’09.”

Drew Paradis also had a couple top 10 finishes for Alexandria. He came in fourth in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 9:56.85. His 1,600-meter time of 4:40.75 was good for eighth place in the event.
