Volunteers needed for historic band festival

Organizers for the Vikingland Band Festival in Alexandria are looking for fun, friendly and upbeat volunteers.

Organizers for the Vikingland Band Festival in Alexandria are looking for fun, friendly and upbeat volunteers who want to be a part of the historic 25th annual festival on Sunday, June 28.

Various time slots are available throughout the day from mid-morning until after the parade starts in the late afternoon.

Available shifts are two to six hours in length and include ushering people to bleacher seats, carrying banners, escorting buses, staffing food stands, moving barricades, setting up signs and greeting the bands.

Organizers encourage residents to volunteer with their family, their friends or co-workers to make this year’s Vikingland Band Festival the best one yet.

For more information or to sign up to help, call Heather Galvin at the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce office, (320) 763-3161.
