The public is invited to donate items for Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County’s annual garage and warehouse sales.

The goal of these events is to assist the local Habitat chapter by reselling good, donated merchandise to raise funds to assist in building of affordable Habitat homes.

This year, Habitat will hold its annual garage sale one week following the annual Alexandria Community Garage Sale.

The Habitat sale will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Runestone Community Center. The sale will take place in the West Rink.

For more information and a list of items to donate, refer to the website at www.hfhdouglascounty.org or contact the Habitat office.

The public is invited to do-nate items in good condition to sell at the sale. Donated items may be dropped off on Friday, May 15 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The drop-off area is through the west garage door of the west rink.

Habitat is also holding a warehouse sale featuring cabinets, appliances, doors, windows and more on May 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the HFH warehouse located at 1605 Melvina Lane SW (south and east of St. Mary’s Cemetery and just before the Greens subdivision).
