The past and present came together Sunday afternoon during an ice cream social at Washington Elementary School.
The past and present came together Sunday afternoon during an ice cream social at Washington Elementary School. The event was held to commemorate the school’s history, as the school will be closing at the end of the school year this June. Guests enjoyed ice cream, as well as viewing displays with information about the school, slideshows with photos and visiting with staff members, past and present. Some of the school’s principals posed for a photo together in the office, including (left to right) Rodney Felber, who served from 1955-1961; Paul Olinger, who served from 1986 to 2001; Julie Critz, who served from 2001-2007; and Scott Heckert, who is the current principal at Washington.
