Letter – Falling to same fate?
While Washington school celebrates its demise with an ice cream social, I think it’s pretty sad to celebrate losing a good school building due to lack of upkeep and maintenance.

While Washington school celebrates its demise with an ice cream social, I think it’s pretty sad to celebrate losing a good school building due to lack of upkeep and maintenance.
The same is true with our jail. Was it purposely neglected so it would not be recertified and therefore create the need to build an expensive new one?
I’m curious. Are these new buildings going to fall to the same fate?
My home is more than 100 years old and still serves its purpose. I guess if I could use taxpayers’ money I would replace it, too. Big government only works until someone else’s money runs out.
