Students learn about water chemistry during the 16th annual Kids’ Groundwater Festival at the Runestone Community Center.
Erin Doyle, a 4th grader at St. Mary’s School in Alexandria, found herself in a bubble Wednesday while learning about water chemistry during the 16th annual Kids’ Groundwater Festival at the Runestone Community Center. Evansville teacher Sarah Larson and two of her students, Chandler Riedel and Austin Bitzan, watched as blindfolded Miltona Science Magnet School students, Sam Pederson and Caleb Dokka, tried to sniff out which water they’d want to drink. The event drew about 500 4th graders from throughout Douglas County. Funding was provided through local businesses and service organizations.
