Spring luncheon set for retired educators
The annual spring luncheon of the Vikingland Retired Educators Association (VREA) will be held on Wednesday, May 13.
The annual spring luncheon of the Vikingland Retired Educators Association (VREA) will be held on Wednesday, May 13 at noon in the Holiday Inn Isabella Room in Alexandria. All retired educators and their spouses living in the area are invited to attend.
Chuck Hellie, president of the Retired Educators Association of Minnesota, will give members an update on pension benefits.
The VREA board approved involvement of its membership in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and agreed with the Heart of Lakes United Way to accept monetary donations at the spring luncheon. This program will provide books regularly to young children to encourage them to become good readers. Contributions are tax deductible; checks should be made to Vikingland Retired Educators.
