Once the money is raised, the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) will provide a matching grant of $75,000 that will also go to the hospice house.
The Lakeland Hospice House will be located in Fergus Falls and will serve people in the counties of Otter Tail, Grant, Clay, Becker, Wadena, Wilkin, Traverse, Douglas, Stevens, Pope and Swift, Roberts County in South Dakota, and Richland County in North Dakota.
The goal of the hospice house is to provide extraordinary healthcare to every patient, give the family the ability to stay with the patient, promote independence, comfort and dignity through all stages of life.
