YMCA offers week-long summer camps
The YMCA is offering camps at both Andes Tower Hills and Smoky Timbers Resort on Lake Miltona this summer.
The YMCA is offering camps at both Andes Tower Hills and Smoky Timbers Resort on Lake Miltona this summer.
Camps are a week long, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. There are separate camps for kids ages kindergarten to 9th grade. Kids will be dropped off and picked up at Discovery School each day and a bus will transport the kids to their camp.
Every day is an adventure featuring hiking, swimming, fishing, games, crafts and more. There’s a family potluck dinner and skits followed by an overnight campout for kids grades 2-9.
A “Counselors in Training” camp is for grades 7-9 and will give these campers an opportunity to be a volunteer camp leader to the younger kids in the other camps.
