Engagement - Bursch/Deppisch

Lara Bursch and Lieutenant Junior Grade Robert S. Deppisch announce their engagement.

Lara is the daughter of Fred and Claudia Bursch of Alexandria. She is a 2001 graduate of Jefferson High School in Alexandria and a 2005 cum laude graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. with a double major in management and marketing. She is employed as a senior account manager with Centro, a media services company based in Chicago, Illinois.

Robert is the son of Bob and Deborah Deppisch of Lake Forest, Illinois. He is a 1999 graduate of Salisbury School in Connecticut and a 2003 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a major in political science. In 2006 he graduated as the distinguished naval candidate from the U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida. He is based, and the couple is currently living, at Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island, Washington.

The couple is planning a January 9, 2010 wedding at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coronado, California.
