Minnewaska softball team tops KMS 4-2

The Minnewaska softball team used six strong innings from Laura Paulson and a three-run seventh inning to come back for a 4-2 win over Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg on Monday.

The Lakers were down 2-1 heading into the final inning of play. Abby Kreitlow, Alicia Pfeninger and Laura Paulson all scored in the seventh to turn a one-run deficit into a two-run lead. Jordan Stalker had the big hit of the inning with a two-run single.

Paulson kept the Lakers in the game through six innings. She allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits, while striking out five. Pfeninger came on in the seventh to earn the save.
