The new dairy princesses will advance to a training seminar to be held in May at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph. In addition to learning skills that can be used for the rest of their lives, they will compete for 12 spots to advance to Princess of the Milky Way competition. At all levels of competition they are judged on their communication skills, personality, enthusiasm for dairy promotion and general knowledge of the dairy industry.
