Classroom surprise
Emelia Carlson received a surprise visit from her dad, Christian Carlson, whom she hadn’t seen since last August, while she was in class at Lincoln Elementary School in Alexandria Wednesday.
Emelia Carlson received a surprise visit from her dad, Christian Carlson, whom she hadn’t seen since last August, while she was in class at Lincoln Elementary School in Alexandria Wednesday. Christian, who is serving in the Army in Iraq, arranged the surprise greeting with the school and Emelia’s teacher. Christian also answered some questions from students in the class about Iraq and his service there. He will be returning to Iraq in about two weeks. Emelia, who is in 6th grade, said she was shocked and wasn’t expecting to see her dad this soon.
