Walk MS Alexandria is tomorrow; still time to register
The Christopher and Banks Multiple Sclerosis Alexandria Walk 2009, presented by Anchor Bank, will be held Sunday, May 3 at City Park in Alexandria.
The Christopher and Banks Multiple Sclerosis Alexandria Walk 2009, presented by Anchor Bank, will be held tomorrow, Sunday, at City Park in Alexandria.
Participants can register on site the day of the walk or online at www.MSsociety.org.
Pledges raised through Walk MS help fund vital MS research projects all around the world and support programs and services for the more than 9,000 people living with the disease in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
Last year, more than 9,000 people participated in Walk MS.
Walkers in Alexandria can choose a 1.5-, 3.5- or 6-mile route. The walk begins on Alex Park Walk, following Lake Agnes along Kenwood Drive. Walkers wishing to complete the 3.5- or 6-mile options continue on the Central Lakes Trail. There is no pledge minimum for Walk MS, but participants are required to raise pledges.
