Free diabetes screening offered
Douglas County Lions and Broadway Medical Center are sponsoring free diabetes screenings.
Douglas County Lions and Broadway Medical Center are sponsoring free diabetes screenings at the following locations, from 7 to 9 a.m.:
April 14 – Brandon, Senior Center.
April 16 – Osakis, Pollard Community Center.
April 21 – Evansville, Senior Center.
April 23 – Alexandria, Senior Center.
April 28 – Kensington, Community Center.
April 30 – Alexandria, Viking Plaza Mall.
Screening is most effective if four hours fasting is observed before screening. Lions members will serve a light snack following the screening.
Screenings can identify your risk for diabetes – one-third of those with diabetes are unaware they have the disease.
