With Easter right around the corner, families should start planning for a couple of upcoming events.
A Grandparent/Grandchild Easter Bunny Tea and Brunch will take place Saturday, April 11 at the Douglas County Hospital.
The event, sponsored by the hospital’s auxiliary and Elder Network, will take place in the lower level conference room from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be many activities, including an appearance by the Easter Bunny, an Easter egg hunt and children’s interactive entertainment provided by Mikko Cowdery of Osakis.
The brunch will feature a menu for adults and a menu for children. The adult menu includes ribbon sandwiches, potato au gratin soup, fruit, dessert bars and coffee, tea and water.
The children’s menu includes macaroni and cheese, potato smiles, fruit, dessert bars and hot chocolate with toppings.
The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children.
Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras to take pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Another event being planned is the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Erickson’s Petting Zoo.
The event will take place at the petting zoo, located at 11890 Hope Road near Osakis, on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is $4 per person with children ages 1 and younger free.
Organizers say the egg hunt, plus the animals and the prizes equals a fun day for all.
