The Alexandria Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will hold its Easter breakfast on Thursday, April 9, from 6:30-7:30 a.m. at the Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria.
Teryl Townsend Magaard, an Alexandria graduate who was active in volleyball and FCA, will be the featured speaker.
Magaard attended college at Georgia Tech.
Magaard was a member of the 1995 Cardinal volleyball team, which captured the Class AA state championship by sweeping Chaska 15-6, 15-5, 15-11. Her team was also ranked third nationally that season.
She went on to play Division I volleyball at Georgia Tech, where she was named to the 2000 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) All-Tournament team.
Upon graduation, Magaard earned a commission in the United States Air Force and served for five years before returning to Alexandria with her husband and three children.
Magaard serves as the education manager at Douglas Machine.
