Ploughshare Farm owners honored as food heroes

Gary and Jennifer Brever of Parkers Prairie, operators of Ploughshare Farm, were recently honored as “Best Farm/Farmer” by Edible Twin Cities magazine.

They were selected as part of the magazine’s second annual readers’ choice Local Hero Awards campaign. The awards honor people who have made a significant contribution to the Twin Cities local food movement during the past year.

“These awards shine a well-deserved spotlight on those who bring the best local foods and beverages to our community on a daily basis,” noted Carol Banks, publisher of Edible Twin Cities.

The magazine is published quarterly and 16,000 copies are distributed free at more than 200 locations throughout the metro area.
