A trial for a New York Mills dog breeder accused of torture and cruelty to animal is scheduled to begin today.
Kathy Bauck is facing one count of torture and three counts of cruelty to animals in Otter tail County District Court.
A judge previously dismissed five charges against Bauck that ranged from practicing veterinary medicine without a license to cruelty to animals to torture. Bauck operates Pick of the Litter Inc. at 51402 410th St.
The charges came after a kennel worker approached authorities and said he saw instances of animal cruelty, court documents state.
