Time to get up and get going

As I am writing this, we are in a blizzard warning. I am, however, optimistic that spring is just around the corner. It’s time for all of us to get up and get moving. We don’t have to try to get fit or get in shape, just get up and get going.
Walk around a bit. Take steps around your house or apartment. Count the steps from one end to the other. Don’t feel silly. No one is around to watch. Besides that, who cares? It’s for you and your health.
Walk around the room. Stretch your feet out in front of you and pump your feet back and forth. Just do it, back and forth, right foot, left foot, right foot, left foot. Can you feel the blood moving?
Did you know that most blood clots begin in your legs? So let’s get up and get walking and move that blood around. Bad blood creates bad things, such as immune deficiencies. Move around, get oxygen into your blood. After a few days of this, you will begin to feel a difference.
Begin to walk, first the room back and forth. Then, soon, get some outside clothing on and try walking outside. Once a week outside will soon turn in to every day. Remember those who breathe and enjoy the outdoors are less angry.
Continue to move your feet back and forth, pace, walk and you will begin to feel better. With exercise comes a renewed energy. It may come in the form of thinking energy, reading energy or making a meal energy or paying a bill energy. So get up and get moving and get energized.
Our sense of energy and well-being depends on being healthy. Exercise and what you eat are the most important aspects of health. Now, you may be getting older and are staring at wrinkles, and don’t know who’s looking back in the mirror, but you must come to terms with your health and just get going!
First, get up. Next, eat properly. Meanwhile, don’t worry about what other people think about you. This is about you and your health. Your health is about you living or you dying sooner. Getting the blood going through your body in a healthful flow is the goal. You don’t want to get the dreaded high blood pressure.
So, let’s get up and get going, together, step by step. Enjoy the oxygen in your blood and your renewed sense of accomplishment by getting one step closer to getting, being and staying fit and healthy.
Together, let’s start thinking and talking spring. Remember, it will be here soon!
