The Verndale Police Department discovered two bodies at a residence Friday after being called there for a welfare check, the department said in a news release.
Law enforcement has not been able to determine the cause of the deaths as of Friday night, but the Verndale PD, Wadena County Sheriff's Department and Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating. Foul play is not suspected, the news release said.
Both bodies are being sent to the Twin Cities for autopsies. Identification is being withheld until relatives are notified.
