More than 400 attend United Way first-ever event
More than 400 people ventured out Friday, February 20 for the United Way’s first-ever Beer and Wine Tasting Gala at Arrowwood Resort.
More than 400 people ventured out Friday, February 20 for the United Way’s first-ever Beer and Wine Tasting Gala at Arrowwood Resort.
More than 30 beers and wines from all over the world were sampled and foods from a wide variety of local vendors tempted the palate of those present.
The event was sponsored by the United Way, its presenting sponsor – Michelob Brewing Company, and its hosting sponsor – Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center.
Folks attended from all over the state and organizers described the event as overwhelmingly successful.
United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties impacts by providing resources to support more than 35 area programs for youth development, individuals and families in crisis, emergency services, rehabilitation and specialized education, and senior services.
Contributions to United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties are tax-deductible gifts that help area residents.
