Letter – Life begins at conception
We cannot continue to lie to ourselves and continue to pretend that life does not begin at conception.
To the editor:
We cannot continue to lie to ourselves and continue to pretend that life does not begin at conception. Science defies that lie. If we truly want to be our Lord’s disciples and follow his example, we are going to study Scripture.
God has designed each one of us for distinct purposes, no one can ever replace any one of us, and we all lose out when we assume we know better than God. We really have no idea of what kind of an impact the more than 50 million people might have had on our economy and our other problems.
But we do know that God only knows how to give good gifts. So why would we keep saying no God instead of being like Mary and saying yes to live?
In his innaugural address, [President Obama] talked against “inducing terror and slaughtering innocents.” What else is abortion but terror and slaughtering of the innocents? Just tell me who is more defenseless or innocent than the baby in the womb?
