Business workshops offer advice for working with federal government

“Selling to the Federal Government: Successful Strategies” will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 4.
The seminar is aimed at companies trying to break into the federal market. Sessions will help focus sales, identify and cultivate SMEs (subject matter experts), research the market and competition, identify agency forecasts, understand the “hidden” opportunities and make bid/no-bid decisions.
“GSA Schedules and More: A Business Perspective” will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 5.
The seminar is designed for companies already working with the federal market who want to know more about the General Services Administration schedules program and what it can do for them.
Topics covered include the GSA proposal process, common pitfalls preparing a GSA Schedule, 10 steps to vendor selection and contract award, and post-award vendor responsibilities
Cost for each is $75, and includes course materials and refreshments.
