Donkey basketball game set
A donkey basketball game will be held at Jefferson High School (JHS) in Alexandria on Sunday, February 22.
A donkey basketball game will be held at Jefferson High School (JHS) in Alexandria on Sunday, February 22 at 2 p.m. Fifty local “celebrity” donkey jockeys will play basketball on real live donkeys.
The show is sponsored by the JHS Band Boosters. Proceeds will go toward a scholarship fund for students who need financial assistance to participate in the Alexandria Marching Band program.
Advance tickets can be purchased from the JHS Activities office at (320) 762-7754. Ticket prices are $6 in advance, and $8 at the door. Pre-schoolers are admitted at no charge. Free donkey rides will be available for children 12 and younger during halftime of each game.
