Season ends at state for Sandwick

    Luke Sandwick earned a trip to the State Alpine ski meet after finishing second at the Section 5 meet recently.

Luke Sandwick was unable to finish his first run at the State Alpine Ski Tournament last Thursday.

Sandwick represented the Lakes Area Alpine team after finishing 14th at the Section 5 meet. The junior at Jefferson High School finished in a combined time of 1:00.60 at sections with runs of 29.75 and 30.85.

Marc Massie of The Blake School won the state tournament individual title with a combined time of 1:09.42. Dylan Thomas of St. Thomas Academy and Andrew Bjorklund of Bloomington Jefferson rounded out the top three.
