Meeting set to talk about new local hospice facility

A community informational meeting about a new hospice facility in Alexandria will take place next week.

It’s set for Thursday, February 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Alexandria Technical College room 209. Use the north entrance. Parking is available in the lot between the high school and the college.

The goal of the Alexandria Area Lighthouse Hospice Project is to establish a residential living facility that supports and enhances end-of-life experiences for individuals and their families in the communities surrounding the Alexandria area.

Anyone interested in learning more about the project is encouraged to attend, along with medical professionals, hospice and health care providers, social workers, members of the faith community, service club representatives, volunteers and families.
