Brad and Jennifer Morgan and their four children are excited about their new home and eagerly working on their sweat equity requirements. As part of the Habitat partnership, each adult age 18 and older is required to complete 200 hours of sweat equity.
The public is invited to attend a town hall meeting to find out what Habitat for Humanity is all about, who is eligible for a Habitat home and how you can get involved.
The meeting will be held Saturday, February 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Brandon Community Center, located at 107 Holmes Avenue. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away.
For more information and to RSVP for the meeting, contact Habitat at (320) 762-4255 or e-mail Habitat at firstname.lastname@example.org.

About the program
Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County has been an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International since 1997 and has built 22 homes. Homeowner families are selected according to established criteria: need for housing, ability to partner with Habitat and ability to pay. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing.
Partner families purchase the homes from Habitat with no-profit, zero-interest mortgages. Volunteers provide most of the labor. Tax deductible donations of money, land and materials are provided by individuals, organizations, churches, foundations and businesses.
