Seminars offer businesses tips on direct mailing

Tips and tricks to creating direct mail that gets results will be presented at seminars in Alexandria on Monday, February 9. Shipping and mailing tips for businesses will also be offered.

Tips and tricks to creating direct mail that gets results will be presented at seminars in Alexandria on Monday, February 9. Shipping and mailing tips for businesses will also be offered.

Dawn Peterson, United States Postal Service (USPS) business development manager, and Pattie Murphy, USPS senior small business specialist, will conduct two seminars to show you how to create and send a direct mail campaign from your computer and how to ship with the USPS in the domestic and international markets.

Businesses will learn how to:

•Craft successful direct mail campaigns.

•Design customized, professional direct mail to promote their business.

•Mail campaigns as quickly as the next day.

•Avoid fuel and other surcharges on shipping.

•Save with discounts on domestic and international shipments.

•Create shipping labels with free delivery confirmation and carrier pick-up.

Participants will also receive a direct mail kit filled with tips and tools to help them get the most out of their mailings.

The Global Shipping and Mailing Seminar will take place at the Douglas County Library, 720 Fillmore Street, Alexandria, on Monday, February 9 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The Build Your Business Direct Mail Seminar will take place at the library later that day from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
