Central Square Cultural and Civic Center in Glenwood will present a performance of “Dr. King’s Dream” next week.

The performance is set for Thursday, February 12 at 7 p.m.

This brilliant one-man play depicts the life and career of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., vividly and memorably demonstrating why he is one of the most influential people in American history.

Drawn almost entirely from his books, sermons, letters and speeches, the play reveals all of the civil rights champion’s courage, charisma and leadership, among other qualities for which he is celebrated.

The play is written and performed by Warren Bowles, an award-winning playwright and actor involved with Mixed Blood Theater in Minneapolis.

The performance will be held in the Central Square Auditorium and will be followed by a reception.

General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Tickets will be available at the door.
