Suspect arrested in stabbing
A 47-year-old Alexandria man was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree assault after he allegedly stabbed his roommate.
A 47-year-old Alexandria man was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree assault after he allegedly stabbed his roommate.
Last Friday, January 23 shortly after 2 a.m., the Law Enforcement Center received a 911 call from 41-year-old Kelly Jean Weeks of Alexandria, who reported that her roommate, Ronald Gene Fleck, had stabbed her, according to authorities.
Weeks was transported via North Ambulance to Douglas County Hospital, where she was treated for the stab wound and released.
After an investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Fleck was arrested today, January 30, and charged with second-degree assault.
His bail was set at $75,000.
